I thought Shawn & Marines don't mix.

Say what? Anyone and anything mixes pretty well with the Marines... Semper fi.

Back in the mid-90s as Shawn Michaels popularity was near its height, he got into a drunken altercation at a bar and basically got his ass handed to him by several marines. There are differing accounts of what happened but this was during a period of time when Shawn was known for dickish behavior and most believe he was (at least somewhat) asking for it.

If I recall correctly, this was the fight in which British Bulldog and X-Pac had to come to Shawn's aid and bail him out.
