The purpose of art is not to teach lessons. Drinking is not dangerous if it is not overdone.

A single study is hardly proof, particularly when they're talking 0.5 % of having a shorter life and that includes traffic accidents. I don't see that as being outside the realm of statistical anomaly.

There's 695 studies that prove that alcohol is unhealthy.

It's a cut and dried conclusion. You don't have to quit drinking just like you don't have to quit smoking. But it's just definitely unhealthy. Good to know, right?

Explain then why the villages around the world with the longest lifespan have a population that drinks wine since childhood. Junk science means nothing.

Drinking is NOT always harmful to the body. For example, one glass of red wine per day is healthy. The problem is that people don't tend to limit themselves to just the one.

Some drinking is actually good for your heart.

In the show, it is obvious that she is a raging alcoholic. She even makes an oath to get it together and stop. But thereafter they show specific scenes of her guzzling booze to playful music. I don't have a problem with alcohol (other than being annoyed by drunks) but I find it borderline distasteful how they portray her drinking problem.

I LOVE the music. I like how she is in love with the dead guy in her head. Nice scenes. I also like her flight attendant friends. Other than that, it is a very bad show. It has the forced drama of a CW show (like all Burlanti garbage).

It keeps getting worse. Dropped from a 6/10 to a 4/10 for me. Might not watch another.

No amount of drinking alcohol is good is the latest conclusion of science. So if it does beneficial things for the heart then at the same time it will do something worse to the rest of your body.

Yes it does. And it's fun to drink sometimes. Just not healthy. Did you know that LSD is supposed to be the least destructive of all drugs? But I am telling this on base of something half remembered. I haven't looked it up.

That is true about LSD but one must factor in the potential harm to one's self if perception of the environment is overly effected (which would take much more than 20 times the normal dosage).

Curiously, they say that Heroin is the most gentle on the body in spite of its low threshold of overdose death. Yeah it can kill you dead if you do even slightly too much but doctors say that it has virtually no long lasting effects. A junkie that kicks the habit will have zero physical evidence of having done it a year later. But the psychological damage is profound.
