There was a lot of talk during this season about "the enemy of my enemy is my friend." I have a feeling that if Mike Barnes returns, he will be somewhat of an anti-hero. He will probably still hate LaRusso with a passion, but I have a feeling that he will also be opposed to Kreese and Silver because it will turn out that they screwed him over pretty bad or something... leaving both sides hoping that he will attack the other.

LOL true. I didn't even realize I was doing it. But you're right. There is too much moral ambiguity on the show already.
But Barnes could have been screwed. Maybe they didn't pay him, or they implicated him in a crime or kicked him out of the mansion immediately after losing.
