I Really Want to See the End of That Episode of "Bounty Law"

At the beginning of Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, Hollywood agent Marvin Swartz (Al Pacino) tells fading TV star Rick Dalton(Leo DiCaprio) that he watched some of Rick Dalton's works the night before in his home screening room:

A clip from the B-minus movie "The Fourteen Fists of McClusky" (Rick fries Nazis with a flame thrower.)

A clip of Rick singing "Behind the Green Door"(country twang, not the old porn title) on Hullabaloo. (Note: For the first time I can remember, I found all three of the over-perky, over-athletic back up dancers in cheerleader outfits to be EQUALLY pretty in face. I couldn't pick the prettiest.)

A clip from Rick's hit TV Western "Bounty Law."

In the movie with Pacino narrating, we don't get to see much of this clip.

But if you go to the "extras" on the DVD, you get to see a LOT more.

You get to see the opening scene BEFORE the opening credits and...as with all truly well written episodic television, you really want to see the ENTIRE EPISODE.

Will Tarantino ever film it for us?

It goes like this:

Black and white photography. Rick Dalton slowly rides down the entire street of a silent town -- with fearful residents -- a body slung over the back of his horse. He encounters the Town Sheriff (QT regular Michael Madsen.)

The sheriff doesn't like seeing Dalton, who has ridden into town for the reward on a young man named "Janus."

Sherriff: You killed Cody Janus?
Rick: Caught up with him outside of town at the cemetary. He's wanted.
Sheriff: Why'd you bring him here, to Janustown?
Rick: What exactly is Janustown?
Sheriff: Well its a town run by Colonel Nathan Janus. That's his only son you've killed.
Rick: And who exactly is this Colonel Nathan Janus?
Sheriff; Well, I'll be sure to introduce you...when he gets here.

Rick looks worried. The Sheriff looks smiling and sadistic.

Cue music and opening sequence with shootout. "Bounty Law" brought to you by Red Apple cigarettes and Hostess Twinkies.

I want to SEE that confrontation between Rick Dalton and Colonel Nathan Janus. Who might play Colonel Nathon Janus. Ed Begley, Senior? Leif Erickson? Charles Bickford? John Dehner?

Who might play Janus TODAY?

QT says he might put Bounty Law on the air (streaming.) If he does, he has to show the pilot first, about Colonel Nathan Janus.

Wasn't it mentioned in the potential 4hr cut that the rest of that episode was a part of the extra stuff.

Has there been any latest on this?

Can't believe this film is nearly 4 years old it doesn't feel it
