Fantastic movie. Would've paid more for theater showing as well.

I must say I had low expectations for WW84. However, I signed up for HBO Max $15/month plan today and watched the movie and overall I thought it was fantastic.

You see, I hate the dark gritty nonsense with muted colors, rubbish dialogs and illogical plots especially when movies consider themselves too seriously like TDK, TDKR (the most rubbish movie I've ever seen in my life) to others like Man Of Steel and Justice League. You see, you should not be ashamed of your char costume (Superman especially) and change things around or make it rubbish and politically correct to have an agenda (and I say this as a liberal Democrat).

People just want to have fun at the movies in a fantasy land with cheerful colorful costumes and good sensible plot. There's no need to go for Oscar here. Just make a good movie. This is why Marvel movies garner billions - because they're good and fun and enjoyable.

I thought WW was enjoyable and even though I doubted Gal Gadot, I must say she is doing admirably as WW and carrying the entire DC Universe on her shoulders. The rest of the JL movies and members are sub par from best to worst being Henry Cavill (amazing Superman but wasted movies), Jason Mamoa (great Aquaman movie imo). Rest are crap from Batman to the horrible Cyborg and worst of all casting - Flash. The TV Flash is so so much better than the crap actor performance we got for Flash.

WW84 started off with a good bang with the ancient Themyscira scene with the young girl who did very well without being cheesy. The backdrop set her story nicely as well. Then came a cool intro for WW at the mall followed by a lull with Kristen Wiig's overdone unbelievable intro and the acting there also seemed subpar and I thought the movie would suck.

But then it dramatically picks up with the plot with the wish granting device and I liked the plot and the message of the movie and the acting of everyone picked up greatly. Wonder Woman's character was nicely explored as to what motivates her and what makes her tick. Gal did superb.

Finally the nice transformation of Kristen Wiig to Cheetah with the double wishing was great as it left her in the end with only 1 wish undone so it remains to be seen if she ends up becoming a formidable foe to Diana going forward as she now equals Diana's power.

The whole final arc with WW flying/gliding was pretty cool and memorable. Gal did a great job.

Overall, I thought the movie really hit the mark for what I was expecting. It has a little lesser WW action - I think there was only the mall, middle WH battle and final battle at the Satellite station donning of WW costume. The message of the movie was cool - better than Shazam imo with its cartoony actor and overdone acting.

I loved the tight acting and pretty good directing. The special effects worked great and didn't feel cheesy.

Overall, I'd rate this movie a pretty solid 8.25/10.

Looking forward to the next WW installment.

Nice review.

Theatrical price tickets are supposedly dropped to as low as $3.00.
I think WW3 will be very far down the road if at all.
