It seems creepy, and makes me wonder what the target audience is.

I'm partial to Asian woman and I used to think Sandra Oh was attractive back in the time of "Sideways", but today she seems frumpy.

But also the whole plot and story is just pointless and stupid.

What is it about this show, who likes it?

As a guy I can tell this show is targeted towards young gay and bi-curious women. Men in this series are definitely on the backburner, and the prominent ones are either asexual/old or gay.
