Really enjoyed this one [spoilers]

I loved how, in the end, the thing which made Lisa obsessed with Jimmy in the first place (his precocity and perceptiveness) ended up being her downfall (he was smart and perceptive enough to realize he was being kidnapped and call for help).

I also loved how, at the very end, although Lisa was wrong for what she did, she was also proven right: Jimmy was ignored in the police car when he said he had a poem. Foreshadowing that, from this point forward, the world would ignore his talent and "erase" him, just as she said.

She made it pretty clear that he was kidnapped when she said they were gonna cross the border. I don’t understand what Lisa was really planning to do. Cross the border and live as fugitives in Canada, all in the name of his talent? I don’t think she thought that one through. She basically committed suicide at the end. Her life as she knew it is over. Prison!? And her family is gonna struggle to accept her again, let alone any workplace lol.

Yeah, she had gone off the deep end at that point.

I think she truly believed that if she "published a book with [his] name on it" that the world would be so grateful to her for protecting his talent that all would be forgiven.

She snapped at the point where he revealed "Anna" which made her really upset. She lacked the talent to be an artist, and as her professor stated, she is an admirer of art, but not an artist herself.
She planned on taking him out of the country. She knew she went too far when she helped him call the police. Address and all.
Yes, he might no longer have anyone to nurture and encourage his talent. This might very well be true. But she isnt his parent. She was in the midst of a kidnapping, all to feed her soul at the emptiness she felt in her own self.
