What happened to Mark and David?

I know Mark cannot come back because Glenn Quinn is dead and that Becky's son Mark is an homage to him but what about David?

I understand The Big Bang Theory has him tied up for shooting schedules but Chuck Lorre has been executive producer on both shows and enjoys a good crossover storyline when he can get one. A reasonable Sara Gilbert/Johnny Galecki subplot with a touch of Laurie Metcalf thrown in for good measure could muster a gag or two.

Darlene is separated or divorced from David. Johnny Galecki will make an appearance this season.

They had some awkward exposition last night where Jackie mentioned that Mark (Becky’s husband) died.

Darlene is Mark's mother, not Becky. It is confusing since Becky was married to Mark.

If I remember correctly, in the final episode she talked about Darlene & Mark, then Becky & David. Indicating that those were the actual couples. But who can tell. I wouldn't dwell on it much. If these two shows tonight were a preview of what lies ahead I don't suspect this new show will be on long. Too contradictory and in-your-face. People wanted Roseanne back. NOT a new person in Rosanne's body.

Rosanne is the same as she was before. You just don't see that.

It was revealed that everything in Roseanne's final manuscript was fake. Dan even brought up he died at the end. So that whole last scene of the finale is to be taken as Roseanne making up everything in the script.
