Where was the inverted car?

As the Protagonist is reverted when he takes it the car really crashes and burns before it is parked, so where was it before? it appeared magically in the middle of the highway, already crashed and burned?

Please don't answer if you didn't understand the movie, I am just interested in the people who understood the time travel Nolan was laying out.

reply

no one understands this movie. it was a good idea just poorly executed.

its one of those movies you have to watch a 100 times to understand...

reply

It's an hyperbole of the determinist version of the time travel, but everything makes sense inside it (taking into account that the determinist time travel doesn't have logical sense per se)... The problem is Nolan is an asperger genius and is difficult to follow him, for that reason I want to know if someone has an idea about the reverted car (for asking something).

reply

Do you understand the time inversión?

reply

sorta? time moves forward and then you get in the machine and go backwards...but its real time so you could technically go back years but it would take years to do so. it wasnt explained if you de-age during this process.

in a sense its a time travel movie so you could change the past...I think, I dont know. thats my take on it.

reply

Exactly, you got it, although it's clear is a determinsitic kind of time travel, so you can't change the past, everything is already included, even the inverted people.

I hope you like my little video explaining the movie:
