has that similar 80s SciFi tech thriller look/feel that Inception had


like those disturbing R rated scientific SF tech thriller/chillers movies of the 80s - (Michael Crichtons Westworld, Looker, Runaway. and Cronenbergs Scanners, Videodrome, Dead Zone etc)

it was the same with Inception

that total realism feel that just happens to involve a fantastical McGuffin that drives the plot , the sinister covert corporations attempting to secure it/engaged in secret wars, weird character names, scientists/professors and their invention perverted beyond imagination, corporate businessmen in suits fighting killing each other, . the bleak building landscapes. that dark underworld of a potentially doomed world that only very few know about

Its kind of difficult to explain but thats the vibe I think he going for in Tenet, Inception and Interstellar (even his Batman films to an extent) and probably Oppenheimer (not seen it)
