Jaume Collet-Serra (Jungle Cruise;The Shallows;Orphan;The Commuter) has been hired.
shareThe Shallows was competently directed. The Commuter was not. In fact, the directing in The Commuter stood out as particularly bad and pedestrian. This is a shame. May this change.
I would have liked Pete Travis (Dredd), John McTiernan (Die Hard, Predator), Mathew Vaughn (Kick-Ass), or believe it or not Tarantino.
I liked the Commuter alright since it was basically a remake of Non-stop which I enjoyed. Jungle Cruise looks good so that's probably a dry-run for him and Johnson's working relationship.
