denouement

Remember that term, all you directors who foist the type of "open ending" such as occurs in this movie? It's an important part of any story. The audience expects it. It provides a sense of fulfillment. Without it the audience feels cheated, and the director shows that he does not have the courage of his cinematic convictions.

Dey knew ma.
