Some of this show is funny, other parts wildly pretentious and just truly unbelievable and cliche...so why is that the creators have created some situations where supposedly highly intelligent women do some really idiotic things or say idiotic things?

Sometimes the writing of this show seems to be that of high school girls trapped in middle-aged lives....

It's a CBC propaganda show. What did you expect? High school girl trapped in middle age is exactly what a CBC producer is.

It has some good laughs, but as each season has gone on, it has become more and more unrealistic and absurd.
