Race?

Do people think this was a race issue, or was it a poverty issue? I think it’s just awful that the system can allow someone to be locked up for more than 3 years without any trial.. how can this be happening in modern America? They just saw him as disposable and it didn’t matter what happened to him, so long as they got their result.
