Not only that, but the connection between real life situations and folklore seems to be tenuous at best.

It's not really horror though. It's more like a docudrama explaining the origins of certain folklore that's been inspired by real events or vice versa. But yeah it's more so a glorified history lesson with some creepy subtext...but it's not really horror IMO.

I do think it's well done, but i would just rather watch the first season of Paranormal Witness instead lol
