CBS Renews

I have no idea why they would go ahead an renew this show. It was a bubble show and got negative publicity with it's harassing lead. They should have just let the show go. But that's CBS for you. Protect the harasser at all costs.

I'm torn on this. I know Amblin pulled out, but the ratings are still decent.

I think the reason why I'm torn on this is that the sexual harassment was comments and jokes that were made if I'm remembering correctly? Not that I think that that is appropriate or all that acceptable, but as far as I know there have been no other allegations against him. (If I'm wrong I apologise). The network paid her 9.5 million dollars. I think that unless advertisers pulled out there was no reason for them to cancel the show.

The Weatherly "scandal" was bullshit. He told a mildly off-color joke and his accuser overreacted, she didn't deserve 9.5 million dollars. He has no prior history of mistreating women. All of the women he worked with on NCIS defended him, even Pauley Perrette, and she has a reputation for being a drama queen, she got into some weird feud with Mark Harmon.

Okay. I don't understand why people keep saying it's her being a drama queen. He admitted to everything that she said that he said! He apologized, admitting his guilt. It was all on tape! A mediator found that he had in fact harassed her and recommended that CBS pay her. Not for him harassing her. But because CBS fired her for reporting the harassment! No way does CBS pay someone 9.5 million for no reason. They were actually the dumb ones that provided the tapes showing the harassment, because as a company they found nothing wrong with it. We all know that as a company they do not have a good grasp on what is harassment and what is not. But that mediator did.

The women of NCIS were all quite ignorant in defending him and saying he never did that to them. Doesn't mean he hasn't done it to someone else. Because he did and it was all on tape.
