Although I realize that the whole thing with her discovering the original copy of the screenplay and Ed's sudden health issue is just a set-up for them to meet at the hospital.

I finally watched the last episode, didn't realize this season is only 7 eps.
Yeah, I don't know how, it's pretty ridiculous considering the poker literally went through her chest.
Btw, from the looks of this board, it appears we are the only two watching this show.
When they found the bag I thought "man, I'll bet Amara's not dead"? Sure enough... (I do agree it's kind of ridiculous. But she's a tenacious survivor, Hard to Kill.)
It's a shame this show hasn't gotten more attention. It's really great entertainment, up there with Breaking Bad imo.
