Looks really bad. They way it's cut into at the collar. The whole thing looks like a cheap piece of crap from a fancy dress shop. Hopefully it evolves and looks better as the series progresses.
Agreed, really wish he would have had a better costume. But I would say that in general that is one of the weaknesses of the Netflix Marvel series, their costume department. Need to steal some designers from CW, who generally excel.
shareI get that some comic costumes aren't really transferable to screen. Let's face it, Frank's early attire with the white gloves, boots with skin tight 'superhero' costume would look a bit odd. There's no reason they couldn't do something like the Tim Bradstreet covers of the MAX comic run. That classic skull is too cool. But no, they feel the need to change it up and it doesn't come across anywhere near as good. The new design is very peculiar. I still hate it.
shareI prefer this skull. Ironically, it was designed for the 2004 Punisher film. It's arguably the most intimdating one. A lot of times the ones on the bradstreet covers look like a punk rock motif
