This is the story of his mum. Who was a jackal. I hear they explain that away by saying that the jackal talk was symbolic, but they actually find the remains of his mother, and she was indeed a jackal.

shareSorry, should have been more clear. I was talking about the first movie, by release date. LOL. In the Omen (1976) they aren't talking symbolically. They find the mother's remains in the first one, and it turns out the prophecy was literally true. Like literally, literally.
It's "The First Omen" (2024) that claims it was symbolic, at least I'm told that. Which contradicts the Omen (1976), which showed us this.
