Won the Academy Award
I had to come here and look this movie up to see what it was about. I was fairly certain the 'fantastic woman' was transgender because she looked kinda male.

I wouldn't call myself a super liberal type, but the movie itself was very well done.
The indignities that "Marina" had to face on a daily basis was very illuminating for me, somebody who wouldn't normally be thinking about issues like this
