Neither of the two leads Dafne Keen and Amir Wilson are good actors.

Dafne Keen is okay half of the time but she coasts and she mumbles. Amir Wilson is even worse, he can do angst badly and that's about it. Whoever did the casting for Lyra and Will should hang their head(s) in shame.

The Lyra of the books was a really great character, a kid who fears nothing and who thinks on her feet. That didn't come across in the series at all, but I blame the writer and director more than the young actress. They didn't give her anything lively to do.
