Why Mrs. Coulter's daemon do not speak?
Is that explain in the books? The monkey does not have a name either

Strangely enough, it was never explained, not even in the movie made back in '07. For some reason, the author never considered the golden monkey important enough to have a name, nor have him speak at all. I'm guessing Mrs. Coulter trained him not to speak at all unless privately to her, making him the ultimate spy.
shareCoulter's daemon could also be much further away from her than any other human's daemon, probably due to intercision (the cutting process to separate human from daemon).
I read the books years ago, I can't remember why the daemon didn't speak.
