Thanks a lot, scientist guy!

Spoilers ahead:
so he's shot too many times to survive more than 10 minutes.
Also, he's cought as a spy, so he'd better be dead in ten minutes.
The bad guy is torturing him to know the name and ranks of the strike team.
He could answer:
1) I worked alone
2) I worked with people from outside the complex, I was the inside man
3) I worked with ........ (put any fake name here he invented then, just so that the bad guy would be left with no clues, and he would have accomplished what he wanted)
4) Say something genius like "it was the cleaners".
So what answer does Boris, the Russian spy that infiltrated for years the high ranks of American government, pick?

reply

Bump...did everybody else miss this blatant plot hole in the "best" beast picture of the year?

reply

That's not a plot hole.

reply

So a central character behaving completely irrationally and opposite to his personality just to move the plot forward is not a plot hole? What do you call it, clever writing?

reply

It's not a plot hole.

A plot contrivance maybe (if I agreed) but in no way a plot hole.

reply

It did seem a bit crazy.

I think we're supposed to believe the chance to say **** you to somebody who wad torturing him in his last moments, by undermining the bad guy's conceit it'd take a strike team to outwit him got the better of him.

If he loved the creature that much though you're right, you'd of thought that would override everything.

reply

Thanks Soren, glad to know I'm not seeing things...
