Jonah Hill’s depressed and withdrawn character is the most relatable thing I’ve seen all year

I was surprised, I didn’t know he had this in him.

It’s also good seeing depression represented without being specifically tied to angry outbursts and psychopaths, which is the usual in TV and movies.

I thought be over did it. The way he talked kept taking me out of his scenes and made me start to resent his character. I’ve experienced depression but I wanted to slap his character and yell for him to speak up.

I don't know, not everyone acts the same with depression. Despite Hollywood usually only showing one way of acting. I've also experienced depression and it's been very close to Hill's representation, kind of beaten down and having every ounce of energy sapped from you.
