The way Kate treats her mother

and gets a pass on it is nauseating. She literally said her problem with her is that she exists. She deserves the fat hate.

I agree. Kate is a first class bitch, and plays the victim care WAY too much. I can't stand her.
I guess she gets a pass because she's a fat pig. She's another reason I'm going to drop this
show as of Nov 7 (BUMP).

As I said in a nother post, they wouldve been better off anthologizing the series with a different family every season. Sticking with this one is problematic because now they are looking for new problems to give each character and theyre coming off as less than 1st world problems. Kate, her pregnancy and the way she treats her mom is really lame.

Yeah, doesn't really matter anymore. I've dumped this series. It's gotten too sappy, and I don't have the time for sappy.

Good gracious, yes! Kate is terrible to her mother, and we see in the flashbacks that Rebecca LOVES her daughter, and tried her best to be a good mom. Yes, she made some mistakes, but overall it was Jack's insistence on spoiling Kate that drove a wedge. I love Jack, but he was not a good father to Kate. I get that he wanted to shield Kate from the harsh realities of the world because she was a bigger girl, but to put his wife into "bad guy" territory was just selfish on his part. Kate needs a reality check of what a bad mother actually is, and thank her lucky stars she has a mom that truly wants what is best for her, and also thinks her daughter is pretty awesome, in spite of her weight problems. Kate's treatment of her mom is what ultimately made me stop watching. That and Kevin's pitiful whining.
