Not by a nose

IMO, this was a disappointing, mediocre film, for a number of reasons. I'll list a few:
- Bradley's acting was over the top. His wide-eyed, rapid-fire, over-enthused way of talking was distracting, along with his deep, nasal delivery, trying to emulate Leonard's voice.
- The prosthetic nose was not necessary. Bradley's nose is actually similar enough to Leonard Bernstein's but, to be fair, the rest of his makeup didn't quite fit without covering the nose.
- The film was all over the place, without revealing much about either Bernstein's or Felicia Montealegre's lives. It had no center, unless you count the fact that he was a homosexual when he met her, and continued his gay affairs after they married.
- The aspect ratio was puzzling at first, then became annoying and a distraction. At first, it was 1.33:1 and black and white, then it went to color, and finally to widescreen near the end.

This was the second film directed by Bradley -- third if you count his music video with Lady Gaga. This should put an end to his dalliance with direction.

None of the things listed there are problems. It's a great movie in every respect.
