Was I the only one who predicted death metal would be "Orc music"?

For some some reason when Will Smith's orc partner shows up and awkwardly/disingenuously compliments the neighbor's hip hop music I imagined what kind of music orcs would prefer and I immediately thought of growling death metal music and sure enough in the next scene we see him turn on this exact music while driving his squad car, much to Will Smith's disapproval.

You're joking....

SERIOUSLY???

I had no intention of watching this obvious piece of crap, but now I kind of want to, for the outrage.

I didn't expect a whole lot from this film and it wasn't exactly great but I found it to be perfectly watchable and can appreciate the attempt at doing something different. I do find it curious how hate for this film seems oddly preemptive/kneejerk. I'd give it a solid 6.5 out of 10

I think I'm one that has that preemptive kneejerk hate. Right from the second I saw it up on Netflix, the pic f the two characters - the orc...GOD it just looks so bad. Like that bad tv show "Alien Nation" or whatever it was called. Not my kind of thing at all.

Then that bit of news about orcs of COURSE being the metalheads, I'm having a HUGE NOPE! reaction. Just got through some movie with Reese Witherspoon where metalhead kids get accused of murdering children, because...well metal. And pentagams. Ugh.
