Deadpool's regenerative powers more like The Thing than Wolverine

So in thinking upon DP2, the scene that's stuck in my mind is when Deadpool blows himself up and his legs, arms, torso and head are all separated.

How is he still alive at that moment?

Scientist show that the brain can stay aware for many minutes longer but even with a mutant regenerative power, his heart can't pump blood to his brain, unless his torso and head are still attached at the neck. He should have truly died before Colossus found his remains.

I loved the movie and this didn't change it for me, however it occurs to me that Deadpool's ability to heal is more in line with John Carpenter's The Thing (where every cell of the being can be severed and grow a new being, as it's an independent organism ), than that of Wolverine who can heal from his wounds (gunshots, stab wounds, punctures, severe burns) but who doesn't grow a whole new arm or body from separated limbs.

So I'm left to wonder if all of Deadpool's severed limbs grew into new Deadpool clones and if he killed them off.

I know, seems trifling but it's a point to ponder.

Hold the phone. Are super powers real?

Can I stop holding the phone now? It's been 5 months and my hand is really starting to cramp.
