restructuring Seasons 4 and 5 due to the virus

I feel like there are two ways it can go. This can also go for a lot of shows effected.

1: The episodes that should have ended the season can be the beginning of next season. This would feel a little off-balance, opening a season with a crescendo, but it could work.

2: They do next season as planned as possible, and what we should've seen at the end of this season become storylines that are merely referenced as off-screen events, or maybe flashbacks.

Personally I prefer option 1, it also would have the bonus of cutting out filler from Season 5, which I guess is the whole point. The end of the season is where the best stuff tends to be at, don't make us miss it, we can sacrifice some of next season's filler for it

I hope they continue with the last 3 episodes on to the next season. I was looking forward to the prom and graduation episode.

Yeah, those are landmarks, and they're seniors, so no chance next year. Really the main problem is that network TV always feels like seasons need to mirror the school year.

Or, something else I thought they could do. It'd be admittedly a little lame and decidedly tongue-in-cheek, but if they do decide to not shoot those episodes, and just start with Season 5 as it would've been, they could do a catch-up explanation narration, maybe with jumpcuts, but anyway, pass it off with a line like "I can't believe we had to miss prom and graduation because of the virus." Because that is the reality right now, and it'll be interesting to see how it gets incorporated into shows, since it is such a shift for everybody. And our shows will probably reflect that, unless they're in a fictional land.

I think they will have the prom and graduation episode. Since it's been the storyline of this season and its been mentioned like every episode lol. And especially after the episode with Mr Honey and their stand with having a prom.

I really think the prom episode is needed, because of Archie and Betty. It's going to be their something something, like the one in the pilot episode.

Riverdale's preview ad said that Wednesday May 6, 2020 is the season finale for Season 4. The series was renewed.

It sounds like they will pick up where they end up, during the senior year. When they graduate, it might be hard to continue the series, unless most of the cast somehow stays in town.

Veronica's dad converts part of the town into a new college? Maybe the mean principal of the high school makes them all repeat senior year, again and again, until the cast members all hit 40 years old, or the CW network can't afford to pay them anymore.
