First season is barely watchable and is only redeemed by a twist at the end.
Second season is an almost entirely different show and very enjoyable.
Couldn't get through the first episode of season 3 and won't watch any more.
First half of season one was great, it was a departure from classic Star Trek series (which I was never a fan of). It had a darker tone (no pun intended), Burnham was a great character but Lorca was the best, a complex, ambiguous captain never seen in the history of Star Trek. Then, they decided to dumb down the series to please ST fans (or at least try to). Burnham went from ruthless to a sweet girl, Lorca from being a rich character to a flat comic book villain. I still believe something bad happened with Jason Isaacs that forced producers to cut him from the series, it was like the most stupid decision ever. "If you're gonna ride in the Kentucky Derby, you don't leave your prize stallion in the stable." (Yes, I'm not a trekkie and I just used a Star Trek reference, sue me).
The series followed the same kindergarten route after the first season. I just watched S2 and S3 because torrents exist. And I though the happy ending of S3 was for good, but I learned just a couple of days ago they actually went for a fourth season.
if they want 2 b a bad leader, that's y jason isaacs character is not on the show anymore, from what Ive heard, I dont watch because it could give me an std!!!!!
