I actually think it looks amazing. This is a great story, and this looks like a great telling of it.
While there are a few obvious CGI shots, it's clear that they used REAL DOGS for this one, which is the very best decision they could've made. Contrast this directly with Call of the Wild's CGI dog and the overly artificial look of that film. This looks much better.
