The ending of the TV show question

Spoiler ahead - At the end of the TV series (if I remember correctly) didn't they (good guys?) all get captured? The sherrif and Alama were on the wagon and that was the ending. From what I remember.

I watched about ten minutes of the movie I was disappointed they didn't start with ending of the TV show.

From what I recall, Alma left town and then they all stood around as Hearst moved on while giving him the evil eye, but no one ended up in jail....
