The ending of the books is really bad

In what way do you mean bad? I didn't love it either, but there are a few different points. Did you just not like the plot and how things were resolved? Did you dislike the vague ending? Something else?

That bothered me the most too. The plot as a whole wasn't great for me, but that many large loose ends at the end of a series always feels like a cop-out after you invest that much time into it.

im watching it and its one big cop out... some shows like coronation street and soap operas are emotional porn. This show is loose end porn. nonstop mystery never answered leading to another mystery never answered

im not even watching for the kids at this point. its all NPH's characters
