Boycott this racist production
Barely a white face in it, clearly those behind the production are racist.

shareAre you really that ignorant ??
shareI just recently learned that the reason so many white people have been on Twitter, going HAM over this production is because - besides the simple, mindless trolling - they've never heard of "The Wiz" until this production.
First, LMAO and second, that is VERY telling!

It's so sad that I'm not sure if you're serious or stupid

You know even though all the main cast in the Wiz are afro american..just like casting asians in "the killing fields", this was not an "all black" production. Harvey Fierstein ( noted white jewish guy), up dated the script, many Caucasian s work at NBC producing the show and many Caucasians work/worked at NBC and Motown that produced this excellent show.I wish that could have been said fot the original Wizard of Oz that im sure had exactly "zero"afro americans involved in the original movie.

Damn, do people do any research on anything anymore? FYI, this new version of THE WIZ is based on a 1975 award-winning Broadway play (written by black playwrights) which was turned into the 1978 film. Here's some info you didn't bother to look up on it:

Ain't a damn thing "racist" about having a show with an all-black cast. Especially when 99% of most media has primarily white people dominating it. So,in that case, you don't have any right or even a reason to complain about ONE little old show with an all-black cast, period.

The original Wiz play debuted on Broadway under the direction of Trinidad-born Geoffrey Holder, but the movie was directed by Sidney Lumet, who was white. And later admitted he had no idea what he was doing directing a musical.
Kenny Leon directed The Wiz Live, though.

This is very true. It is a very racist production. Reminds me of the stupid reboot of The Honeymooners movie that they felt required an all black leading cast.

Um......white people have to be in everything, smh and lol.....unfortunately racism still exist.....what can I say.....but I'm sure if we went back in time and was able to re-cast the wizard of Oz with the main characters being black and Judy Garland was the only white person....you would still be highly offfended.....
