SPOILERS: Not for everyone

Especially those who hate misleading titles.

For me, I think the title helped turn up the thrill factor a little bit. At first, I expected some monster to attack the house in the cover of darkness. But after Paul catches Will breaking in, it becomes very apparent what we're in for.

From there the tension and the mystery just build and build until the last night when it all goes down. At first, I thought the little kid had opened the door somehow. But then I realized it must have been Travis. I initially passed off that last "dream sequence" as just him sleepwalking, but that must've been real.

Anyway, it's my favorite film of the year so far. It felt real and has stuck with me more than anything I've seen in the past few years. So many unanswered questions.

Yes, good post. The film is divisive because it was sold as a straight up horror. It is not.

I'm still thinking about the various explanations now and I saw it 3 months ago. Very good film that gets inside your head.

I hope its supposed financial failure won't prevent Shults from making the next project he wants. He's two for two in my book of knocking it out of the park.

Me too. Krisha was extraordinary. I'm sure he's shown enough talent to be on the right track.

Haha, more like "not for anyone" 😎
