females were not this intolerable in the 80s

I mean they likely are now, but they were not this bossy, strong or brave. If they are today then it is based on the BS they are fed in programs like this one.

Also in the 80s:-
- The friendship between black and white kids wasn't that deep.
- Homosexual people could not explicitly express their sexual orientation.
- A middle-class family couldn't afford to buy a PC.
- The Soviet Union couldn't risk a global war, which could happen if they secretly send troops to an American town (back then, USA and USSR avoided any direct conflict, and waged proxy wars instead).
Even if it sent spies, why do they have to wear military uniforms?
- Besides the previous points, I don't need to mention the inaccurate depiction of 80's garments, haircuts, bicycles...etc

ST can be described as anything except "resembling 80s".

There is an episode of the famous animated series "Teen Titans Go!", titled "Nostalgia is Not a Substitute for an Actual Story". In my opinion, this title itself tells what ST is all about.

If you mean "friendship between black and white kids wasn't that deep" because the left didn't broadcast its divisive, racist ideology as much as it does now, that's true. Black and white kids got along just fine and didn't worry about trivial shit like the color of their skin. That's a 21st century thing and makes me think that racism has always been a flaw of the left, they just did a good job hiding it when I was growing up.
