Cast is so bloated. They must spend so much money on salaries.

There are so many main characters and they keep and keep adding more new season.

I counted 16 main characters this season. 17, I just remembered that long haired stoned dude. And for some reason they keep having that annoying Lucas’s sister. At least they told her everything and now she is with gang. Because she was so freaking annoying with her remarks.

Sometimes I get lost at who is where. In one episode I wondered where is Jonathan when gang was chasing upside-down. Then I remembered that he is with other band chasing Eleven. And I had to remember why he was there. And who is whose sister and brother. I often get confused with Mike. Nancy, Jonathan and Will.

And its like they created that subplot and send Mike and Jonathan there just so that there would be separate storyline, because there would be 10 people running around lake, streets and houses if everyone will be at one place. And it would look ridiculous.

I too was often confused about who was where.

They have the numbers of a slasher/horror movie except barely anyone actually dies so they just keep adding more and more people.

The show is struggling to find a use for all the characters.

Yep. No one dies and they keep adding more. Thats why they had to split cast and send Will, Eleven, Mike and Jonathan on their separate mission. Because otherwise they would all run around like an idiots with 10 people at once. It would look ridiculous.

Nancy and Jonathan should have been ditched long time ago. They should have gone to college somewhere and never be mentioned again.

And then even added Lucas’s obnoxious sister to gang. Which was just too much. She should have been ditched seasons ago.

It already looked so stupid when they stole that mobile home with eddie. A huge gang of people trying to sneak around, come on.

There were so many scenes for each group that I don't know how you could be confused about who was where. If they're going to make such a long season then I don't think it's a big deal to have a large cast. It wouldn't have worked if it was 8-9 episodes that were 50'ish minutes long like the first few seasons.

They didn't have the guts to kill or cast aside useless characters. Mike, Wil, Jonathan and Argyle served no purpose in Season 4.
