Racism Episode

Found this episode to be very off-putting and not funny. I guess the plot of the episode was following Garrett's frustration with white people not getting the struggles of black people while also dealing with the stores black stereotypes. I just felt like everyone's attempts to address the problem of racial inequality very cringe and uncomfortable. Why the writers decided to make the black employees embody the stereotypes they're trying to fight against I don't know.

On a side note, I didn't understand the MC Cool Cloud being cultural appropriation. I will admit I struggle to understand the problem of cultural appropriation in general. (Halloween costumes for kids specifically)

Before anyone jumps on this and says I'm a racist a-hole that just doesn't "get it," I can assure you I believe in treating everyone equally and avoiding stereotypes as an individual.

Open to any discussion on this.

I thought it was hilarious. Talking about racism should be uncomfortable but they did a good job at making it funny as well.

Which episode are you talking about? And isn't a whole concept of "cultural appropriation" nonsense, so that you not understanding the problem of it just means that you are normal human being living in 21st century?

Thanks. I read the page and it just supports this idea that racism against the black people is the default state and you shouldn't question it. There is nothing concrete to talk about. And supposedly black people experiencing racism are not expected to talk about it?!?

"Dina's disregard for Garrett's boundaries brings up some critical questions. How do you deconstruct ideas people have pushed you to believe in all your life? How do you do that without making yourself the center of attention? "
What kind of nonsense is that?
