One scene perfectly captures what is wrong with today's youth


He's crossing the street without looking for traffic while looking at his phone. A car has to slam on the breaks to avoid hitting him, and the guy driving flips him off and tells him to pay attention, while calling him a fucking millennial. The asshole crossing the street while on his phone actually is indignant that the driver was irritated, enough so that he used his credentials to illegally suspend his driver's license.

Entitlement+outrage+unlawful+immature overreaction+cancel culture+ = todays youth.

Yeah, you're right. There's other pockets of it in the movie (the Uber driver), but that's a pretty good capsule of it.

Though, I do like that this movie gave some respect to some of the son's "Millennial" ideas. Most notably, Shaft learns that sometimes it's okay to say "Sorry"; that doesn't make him less of a macho man.
