A good limited series, surprised at lack of posts and I wonder if....

all of these exclusive streaming channels are actually hurting the chances of more viewers for quality programs like these.

I get the whole idea of a streaming channel doing whatever it can to get subscribers, but I wonder if so many exclusive channels end up hurting quality programs more than they help.

Also, I wonder if at some point all of these paid subscriber channels will realize it might be more profitable to make these programs more readily available, at least after the first run-time period.

Lack of post is because this site is not as popular as the O.G. imdb message board.

But I agree. with all the streaming devices I feel like I might be missing on a good show, cause AppleTV is not going to advertise an Amazon Prime show.

I understand what you're saying but if we didn't have a bunch of streaming platforms trying to compete with each other than a lot of these shows would never get made, so in that sense it's good for the viewers. It's creating competition and a need for content. Plus it's not like you have to subscribe to everything all at once. You can subscribe to a channel for a month and watch everything you're interested in or even make use of free trials. Apple+ in particular is very cheap.
