why so much time between seasons???

does anybody know why there's such a prolonged lag between the seasons? the seasons are very short, 3 or 4 episodes, but it takes them TWO YEARS TO FILM THOSE?

i don't get it

love the show. wish they would do a season every year, and have it be more than 3-4 episodes. i mean, you have a good thing here but you playing coy with the audience, almost off-putting

i should just answer it myself though, since i am

LITERALLY THE ONLY MFER THAT COMES TO THIS BOARD LMAO

Because J K Rowling has to write the books and make a bit of money from them first.

yes i do believe you are right. that makes sense

.....i have wondered if making the seasons so short is actually necessary to maintain a tight storyline, if if it might be possible for them to extend these seasons into 1-12 episodes. Though, i'm sure they already thought of that, and maybe there's just not enough content there to do this.

but dammit i get into withdrawls waiting for another season lol. i really love this show. there's just something about it that stands out, can't put my finger on it.

UK tv shows tend to have short seasons. You won't find many with a 12+ episode season. Mostly they're 2 hour 2-parters, or around 6 episodes.
