shareIf she ever does get her own Marvel/Netflix original series, I would like them to make it based on her first appearance and origin, but mixed with various other characters, too.
Apart from her source of her superhuman powers being connected to the legendary Sons of the Tiger and her late uncle, the great Hector Ayala who was the first White Tiger, they could also even include the Tiger School from 50 years ago just as well. There is an obvious connection to K'un-L'un and Iron Fist, with her enchanted jade tiger amulets being from the enchanted jade tiger statue from the ancient extradimensional demon sorcerer Master Khan. But I don't know if they are going to go there considering the Marvel/Netflix original series having a very subdued attitude whenever it comes to showing magic in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
I just hope that at least there will be a mention of the magical origin of the enchanted jade tiger head and two front paws, and how they give her similar powers to the members of the defunct Sons of the Tiger super hero team (Lin Sun, Robert "Bob" Diamond and Abraham "Abe" Brown) and the same powers as her uncle Hector, the original White Tiger. I hope that they don't nerf her magical powers just because she is more powerful and stronger than Iron Fist (Daniel "Danny" Rand-Kai) is.
They may still do this though. Simply because they don't like to make the characters just as juiced up as they are in the Marvel Comics comic books. If the White Tiger is left being exactly like she is in the original source material, the casuals may see her as being way too overpowered even though she really isn't.
Still, just the fact that Angela Del Toro was name dropped in Jessica Jones is a good sign that her being mentioned means that she'll be making a cameo in the Defenders and then have a full appearance, and introduction in either Daredevil or Jessica Jones. She may even meet Iron Fist simply because of her connection to K'un-L'un and because the magical powers that she has uses the same energy source as Iron Fist's chi force.
I just hope that her character as the premiere Puerto Rican-American costumed, super-powered super heroine isn't downplayed because the portrayal of Puerto Rican-American citizens in Luke Cage was very disappointing, and the Puerto Rican community needs more better representation in television.
I wonder if she will show up in a future season of Jessica Jones to be added to the Defenders in the next go-around.
