The original kidnapping victim in the basement is never found dead by the police? This completely ruins the ending of the film, as it makes no sense that they would have found the homeowner as the victim of a 2 person burglary. There are at least three bodies in the house.

It also depends on if the blind guy even told the police anything. See if he revealed much about the 3 thieves, namely Rocky, he exposes himself to what he did to Rocky and Cindy. So I wager he probably only told the cops about Alex and Money breaking in or something, presuming they were even found by the cops. He had to be careful how much he told the police to avoid exposing himself. I don't think they cops were taking him to be a suspect so there was no real reason, I do not think, for them to investigate the house.

Or the fact he had a dungeon in his basement. I'm sure that might come up in questioning, not to mention the kidnapping victim's fingerprints and belongings would be down there.
