It Took Getting Cancelled....

...to finally pull an awesome episode out of their ass.

That scene with Lucifer smashing in through the window was awesome. Just as my hope for the show returns, it gets cancelled. A dumb move.

Outside of the "what will Chloe do" angle, the show ended properly. Amenadiel went back to Heaven, Mazikeen got back on the right side, and Cain got sent to hell. So what's left is a new chapter where Chloe knows there are supernatural beings and she's been interacting with a bunch of them.

If the show continues, there's room for a completely new take on things. But if that's the end, it ended in a better place than so many other cancelled productions. The show at least got to tell one complete chapter of the Lucifer / Chloe story, the one where she never accepted who he was.

I can live with the ending. My point was that the show was faltering and provided a good episode, only to have been cancelled when I finally wanted to get back into it. I guess that's the point of going out on a high though.

I do get your point - and its a good one. This season didn't really do much until right at the end, and then, poof, it's gone.

This finale was actually pretty good. But I was by no means blown away by this episode. I thought the writing was fairly weak and cheesy. I thought the production was rushed and under budget. My most hated scene was when Pierce was like, "help, i'm being attacked" and two seconds later the room is filled with uniformed officers racing to his aid. Where'd they all come from? Why were they so eager to help? Everybody there knows Lucifer and everybody there loves him and their first instinct when rushing into a room isn't, "uh... what's going on?" Instead they're a mob organized of one mind? Gimme a break.
