It seems like, after not having any magic for years, they suddenly realized that they were supposed to have it on the show. And now, there's LOTS of magic...right as they end the show.

Having watched from the beginning, I think it was better when it was more subtle and they always kept you wondering if Cassie was actually a witch, just dropping occasional hints.
