Start Labeling Jesus Films

I am really sick of seeing something that might be interesting, only turn out to be a gigantic preachy load of crap. Please start labeling movies "Jesus Films", so the rest of us don't have to waste our time.

I'm sure you are pretty tired of it. What with all of the sheltering you insist upon for yourself. Heaven forbid you gain some culture in your sorry, sheltered, hateful existence.

It did have "Miracle" in the title

reply

Yeah, but that was also the title of this much, much better film:

Meh, says you.

Uh... That's what trailers, posters, and movie titles are for. If you couldn't tell that this was a Christian film from watching two seconds of the trailer, or by glancing at the poster of praying children, then maybe you're the problem here.

The name of the book this came from is The Cokeville miracle: When Angels intervene. That would have been a nice warning. I mean, the first and second act were pretty good, the story moved well. Then the third act, the hairs kind of stood up on my arms at first - the kid was describing a ghost! Then it went downhill with the whole town seeming to fall into mass hysteria and the main protagonist of the story, the voice of reason, finally being brainwashed by his family. Guess he had to, what kind of police force just leaves the whole town unprotected? How did the parents get to the school before any cops did? No good answer. It must have been a higher power, because it couldn't have been poor management.

2000+ years and Jesus is still intimidating people.
