Is anyone else bothered by this?

It's 3 years into the zombie apocalypse and one of the female characters is still sporting a dark red hair dye job and perfectly manicured eyebrows. There's the Hispanic guy in a nice black suit with a perfectly shaped goatee and shiny black shoes, and one of the early episodes in season 2 shows a black SUV full of bad guys in skull masks. Nothing about wardrobe or makeup (except the ever morphing Murphy) says post apocalyptic life and it's a constant distraction that's annoyingly comedic. I'm all for suspension of disbelief (the very act of watching this show requires complete abandon of it in fact),but this is one of the biggest plot holes in my opinion.

Actually, it is not that unrealistic. TWD is more unrealistic in that way IMO. Too much bad happens in that show to make sense + they are TOO dirty for too long at a time. Just because it is the "post-apocalypt" doesn't mean there isn't any water available to wash yourself with. There is. There are deserted malls and shops all over the cities in which they could find clothes, hair dye, make-up, whatever... If most of the people are zombies in those towns, then there would still be a lot of crap to steal and use that others hadn't looted already. Yeah, obviously it is exaggerated when it comes to the hair and make-up, but then this isn't the most serious show to begin with. I think it would be pretty realistic to want to stay clean and wash yourself, even after all that happened. It's more unrealistic that just because there is a zombie virus outbreak, suddenly all running water wouldn't work.

I just know if this happened in real life, I would if I could, find new clothes or wash the ones I had if they got full of blood. I certainly wouldn't be comfortable constantly wearing dirty, bloody clothes.

A good pair of tweezers could do a decent job with the eyebrows (downtime, Addy and Warren pluck each other's brows?). Hair dye is not hard to find, grocery store, drugstore etc.....doubt that would be on people's list to get, so plenty probably available....

O.P. is upset by hair dye, but not how many fat people are still running around?

MAGA!

Don't know about everything else, but Addy and 10k shape each others eye brows...

delesa-12433, if you're professional as you say you are, then you'd know this is a classic, and IMO opinion the BEST of, "The Asylum" productions. This is the first TV series they've done and it's spectacular!

Z Nation IS known for making a joke of the genre. Perhaps this is their way of nodding towards all of the perfectly groomed lawns and well-fed, white teethed survivors that seem to infest every other zombie show. I find it rather interesting that Murphy seems to be the only one affected by post-apocalyptic hygiene issues. It was my favorite part of the scene between Warren and him in Lucy's room: Warren with her perfect white teeth and styled hair versus Murphy with his nasty rotten mouth and grey beard (It was black just a few years ago). I think it's symbolic of the fact that Warren seems to be living in a fantasy land where the cure will make everything better and humanity will hold hands and rejoice... Meanwhile, Murphy is embracing reality and making the best of a *beep* situation.

Yeah. Id rather they went for a hobo look for everyone. The shows supposed to be comedy but theres only 10 pecent of it in it. The rest is bad zombiepocalypse porn.
