Do the moronic writers actually believe they fixed their moronic mistake?

What is the point of taking a ridiculous version of the Joker, that everybody despises, and killing him off just to replace him with a less crazy clone of the same moronic character? How stupid are these writers? Not only is this actor a horrible choice, the background origin is also idiotic. Don't even get me started on that pathetic Harley Quinn facsimile.

This is a pre-Batman show. If a Batman show was what they wanted, they should have made a Batman show. Introducing villains into a world they don't exist is lazy writing. These writers are truly undeserving of their jobs. This same idiotic formila made a parody out of Smallville. And Flash and Arrow are following. Why do all DC shows end up turning to crap? Just like their movies. They should stick to animated features. It's the only media they haven't completed ruined.

Lots of people enjoyed Cameron Monaghan's performance, including myself but not so much the writing, the writing is all over the place just look what they did to Poison Ivy too.

It seems like they gave up on the idea of it being a pre Batman show long ago and just made Gordon Batman by defeating most of Batman's rogue’s gallery.

It’s a shame, I love the look and vibe of the show but Gotham has no clear direction.

I never considered that. Maybe it's possible with better writing I wouldn't have despised the character, and therefore the performance, so much. You very well might be right about that. Either way I'm certain the writing will never improve enough to repair the damage already done.
