Glad to know Nick is following in his mother' footsteps in getting people killed. He knocks Jake into a ditch where a zombie bites him on the arm, and rather than putting him out of his misery, he cuts his arm off, fails to make a good tourniquet, and lets Jake to bleed to death. Why? So he could save the guy who is clearly too far gone to come back, who puts the entire ranch, including his own sister's life, in jeopardy. You got to love the rational decisions this guy can make.

I'm sorry if this post annoys people who enjoy the show, but after seeing that last night, I'm literally questioning how the writing got this bad.

The overall point is that none of these characters are worth caring about. I don't care, no one appeals to me to root for. If this show went away I would not miss it.

Yeah I agree mostly with you. I do have a mild interest in Nick but if the show died I wouldn't care.

I wonder if it has to do with the short attention span, but this show is getting ahead of itself. I has to get us to care about these people and that won't happen until we see relationships built. But what did they do? The split up everyone and are going with the 4th season TWD format of having up close 1-2 character showcase episodes. But I don't enjoy these showcases for characters who aren't fleshed out well enough. It worked for TWD because we got a chance to live we these characters enough to know them more intimately. For the life of me I have no clue what motivates Nick to do anything he does. That goes for all of them.

You are so right! I hate the "stand alone" episodes of TWD. Despise them. I want them all together all the time. And I MUST see Rick EACH AND EVERY EPISODE.
As for Nick, he interests me, but yea, what is his motivation IDK😗

I think the idea of separating the main characters is based on cutting costs of per episode production and has no creative or storytelling benefit. How many times have we had a stand-alone episode for a character who just gets killed and soon forgotten?

I miss it when we had a group dynamic; Rick vs. Shane and Lori. The group as a group pulling together. All we get now a celebration of gore and sadism.

Group dynamic is so important. Yes, cutting costs is too, but , gah! gimme something I can work with here.
