Was that Jeremiah's body inside after being tranferred from the pickup? Did Madison went there to cut off his head without the deceased sons knowing?

Yep she did and in the last episodes of this seasons the Indians move in with them based on the preview

I believe the sons knew exactly what was happening.

Their lack of outrage and questions when they showed up at the cabin says it all. Of course they knew. Walker made it pretty clear to Jake the first time they met what the price of peace was going to be. But Jeremiah was still their father, and they couldn't do it themselves, so they left the bloody part to Madison.
